Elyria’s Suetta is named controller for Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio
Nick Suetta, an Elyria native who has been instrumental in the growth of Boys & Girls Clubs of Lorain County, has been named controller for the new Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio, the organization created in 2019 by the merger of Clubs in Cleveland, Akron, Lorain County and Erie County.
Suetta formerly served as finance director for BGCLC, one of the Clubs that merged last year. He had held that position since 2016. Before that, Suetta worked for Anthony Keys CPA.
As the BGCLC finance director, he helped the organization grow by 128%, or by $3.2 million, over four years. In his new role, Suetta will oversee accounting and financial matters for BGCNEO. He will also help coordinate TANG (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) funding and government grant reimbursements.
“Nick’s background and excellent performance in Lorain County make him a great choice for this important position,” said Ron Soeder, BGCNEO’s interim president and CEO.
Suetta, who lives in Elyria, received his undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance from Hiram College through a Lorain County Community College Partnership.
BGCNEO serves more than 8,600 kids at 39 locations in the region. Boys & Girls Clubs provide safe, fun places for kids ages 6-18 after school, focusing on healthy lifestyles, academic success and character.
