Pollock named to BGCNEO post

Lauren Pollock, a Stow native and Slippery Rock University graduate, has been named director of development operations for the new Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio, the organization created last year by the merger of Clubs in Cleveland, Akron, Lorain County and Erie County.

Pollock had been the donor relations manager for Boys & Girls Clubs of Cleveland.

In her new role, she will oversee the donor database, events and volunteer efforts for BGCNEO, which serves more than 8,600 kids at 39 locations in the region. Boys & Girls Clubs provide safe, fun places for kids ages 6-18 after school, focusing on healthy lifestyles, academic success and character.

“Lauren is an extremely talented individual with an extraordinary ability to organize and plan,” said Ron Soeder, BGCNEO’s interim president and CEO.

Pollock is a graduate of Stow-Munroe Falls High School and Slippery Rock University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and nonprofit management. She was an intern at BGCC in 2012 and started working full-time as a marketing and communications assistant in 2014.

Pollock, who lives in Lyndhurst, volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cleveland and is part of the Emerging Leaders of the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland.
